IntegraSEE joins Blue Bioeconomy Value (BBV) Accelerator in Portugal

First in-person meeting since September commencement

IntegraSEE Research Inc., is set to complete the final stages of the Blue Bioeconomy Value (BBV) Accelerator in Lisbon, Portugal this week. Co-Founder, Lawrence Taylor is joined by VP Business Development, Mike Hayes, as they search out potential connections and collaborations in Portugal’s burgeoning blue economy. IntegraSEE was chosen as one of the 20 global companies participating in this innovative program.

The BBV Accelerator program aims to assist entrepreneurs in developing commercially viable and sustainable businesses, focusing on solutions in the marine bioresources value chain. These solutions should scale-up to market applications across various industries, contributing to addressing global societal challenges. IntegraSEE will pitch its novel solution to a jury from the Blue Bio Alliance and investors next week.

During their visit to Portugal, the IntegraSEE team will meet up with partner, Clean Valley CIC, to install its first commercial bio sensor application at SEAentia—a prominent land-based fish farm in Peniche. The team will deploy underwater cameras to gather data on oyster production, supporting their AI-enabled monitoring project through Canada’s Ocean Supercluster. This marks a significant step forward in advancing AI technology in aquaculture.

Additionally, the IntegraSEE team will visit several leading aquaculture producers in Portugal to evaluate potential deployments. Lawrence Taylor, Co-Founder and CEO of IntegraSEE, states, “We aim to broaden our understanding of bivalve species as natural biosensors, contributing not only to local success, but also to the wider opportunities available in Europe.”
